Hey there — it’s me, Block Island, and if you ask me, I’m one lucky place. I’ve got acres of lush greenery, peaceful trails, and wide-open spaces that are brimming with good energy and natural life.

Naturally Lucky

Almost half of me is protected land — yup, nearly 50% — and that’s no small feat. Thanks to dedicated conservation efforts, my rolling hills, nature trails, and quiet beaches have stayed just the way they should be: clean, green, and full of life. From birds soaring overhead to the wildflowers that bloom each spring, there’s a natural rhythm here that feels… lucky!

17 Miles of Pure Peace

If you’re craving fresh air and wide-open spaces, I’ve got 17 miles of walking trails waiting for you. Whether you’re winding through Rodman’s Hollow, exploring the scenic overlooks of Clay Head Trail, or following the path to North Light, there’s no shortage of ways to connect with nature here. Don’t forget to slow down, enjoy the moment and look around…you might even find a Glass Float. With 550 hidden around the island each year, you might be lucky enough to find one!

The Sacred Labyrinth: A Path for Good Energy

Feeling like you need a reset? Make your way to my Sacred Labyrinth — a peaceful stone path tucked away down Corn Neck Road. It’s designed for quiet reflection — a place to walk slowly, clear your mind, and welcome a little extra luck and positive energy your way.

Protecting the Magic

Part of what makes me feel so magical is how untouched and natural I am — and that’s something we all work hard to protect. Out here, we follow a simple but important rule: carry in, carry out. That means whatever you bring with you — snacks, drinks, or picnic gear — goes home with you, too. There are no trash cans on my beaches or trails, just a shared promise to leave things exactly as you found them. By respecting this rule, you’re helping to keep my trails beautiful, my beaches pristine, and my wildlife safe — and that’s the kind of good energy I love most.

Lucky to Be Here

So this March, take a moment to slow down and see what I’m all about. Whether you’re hiking my trails, walking the labyrinth, or just soaking in the fresh coastal air, you might find that a little time here leaves you feeling lighter, calmer, and yes — maybe even a little luckier.
