Scotch Beach is the best place for young adults and teens to “see and be seen”, with wide-open stretches of white sand and volleyball nets always set up. With bigger waves and very few rocks, it’s a great beach for body surfing and boogie boarding. Located a quarter mile north of Fred Benson Town Beach, it’s an easy walk to beach house facilities. Finding the beach is easy, too: you’ll find a parking area about two miles up Corn Neck Road on the right marked with a “Scotch Beach” sign, and beach access is marked by gray posts that read “beach access.” Scotch Beach is also an attractive spot for boaters, who can dock their dinghies at the aptly named Dingy Beach and walk across Cross Neck Road to visit it.
