Fall is a fantastic season to visit Block Island. Experience the beauty and charm of the island during a slower paced season with mild temperatures. Here are some activities that will make you Fall in love with Block Island this Fall:
Take a scenic hike on the Clay Head Nature Trail: This trail offers walkers unparalleled views of the island, take a side trail 'inland' and get lost in a network of trails known as "the maze".
Bike around the island with our Self-Guided Block Island Bike Tour:  Enjoy the crisp fall air and explore the charming island at your own leisurely pace on this perfect route that winds through some of Block Island’s most beautiful landscapes.
Go treasure hunting for glass orbs: The Glass Float Project was started by a local artist Eben Horton. Each year, over 500 Glass Floats (glass orbs about the size of an orange) are hidden on Block Island waiting to be found.
Go birdwatching at Rodman’s Hollow: Block Island is an excellent spot for observing birds during the fall season, as several species of migratory birds pass through the area on their journey. 
Climb the stairs at the Mohegan Bluffs: The Mohegan Bluffs are a must-see destination on Block Island, offering spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. Take a walk down the steep wooden staircase and walk along the beach, which is less crowded in the fall.
Explore some of Block Island's most beautiful beaches: Whether it’s relaxing by the waves or enjoying a morning stroll, you’ll discover 17 miles worth of beaches, all free and open to the public.
Reel in your dinner with some Fall Fishing: Block Island’s sandy beaches and rocky shorelines are perfect for fly fishing and surf casting. The island’s two tackle shops are ready to help with bait and tips on where to fish.
Peruse historic photographs, furniture and artifacts: Stop by the Block Island Historical Society to learn about the island’s rich history; encompassing Native American tribes, Revolutionary War heroes and legendary shipwrecks.
